Crane Coins (CNC) are the main rewards on Crane. It’s a utility token you earn and spend on Crane only. You can use CNC for airtime recharge, data subscription, or cash trade-in when it reaches 10,000 (note that 10 CNC = ₦1, while 10,000 CNC = ₦1,000).
Currently, you’ll receive a CNC bonus after completing the following activities on the Crane app:
- Your friend joins Crane with your referral tag and subsequently completes a transaction.
- Convert crypto to naira using the regular crypto deposit or the Bank Direct option.
- Unlock a new badge and level.
- Complete Know Your Customer (KYC) registration.
- Finish in the top 20 on Crane’s leaderboard ranking.
Your CNC earnings depend on your level on the Crane app.
Xpts are the reward points for converting digital assets to naira. For instance, if you convert a crypto worth $15 to naira, you’ll receive 15 Xpts. Unlike CNC, Xpts bonus strictly depends on the amount you convert.
Xpts directly affect your Crane level and position on the leaderboard, the weekly ranking system that shows your conversion activities. The more you convert virtual currencies to naira, the more Xpts you’ll win. The more Xpts you have, the higher your chances of moving to a new level and growing on the leaderboard. The more you grow on the leaderboard and unlock new levels, the more CNC you’ll win, meaning more money for you.
In a nutshell, more crypto to naira conversion = more Xpts = growth on the leaderboard = more CNC = more money for you.
Difference between Xpts and CNC

The rewards on Crane: 5 ways to win them
You’ll receive rewards when you do the following on Crane:
1. Convert crypto to naira on Crane
We attach rewards—mainly CNC—to every transaction you complete on Crane. The more you use the Crane app to receive money in crypto and subsequently convert it to naira, the more (CNC) bonus you’ll enjoy. For example, you’ll receive 500 CNC if you convert crypto worth $100 to naira, while you’ll get 5,000 CNC for converting a digital asset worth $1,000.
That’s not all.
Your transaction frequency also affects your level and badges. Your level and badges influence transaction rewards on the Crane app. For instance, users on levels 0–4 will win 500 CNC if they convert $100 worth of crypto to naira, while users on levels 5-8 will receive 1,000 CNC for completing the same crypto conversion to naira.
2. Refer a friend
We appreciate it when you tell a friend about us. It is even better for you when your friend signs up, uses our app to receive payment in crypto, and converts the crypto to naira.
These are the CNC rewards you’ll win when you share your referral tags with friends:
- 25 CNC for every crypto-to-naira conversion your referred friend completes. You will stop receiving the bonus from your referred friend’s transactions after earning 25,000 CNC.
- A one-time 200 CNC bonus for unlocking the Preacher badge once your friend converts crypto worth $1 to naira.
3. Unlock a new badge or level on the Crane app
Your chances of unlocking new levels and badges increase after completing conversions and activities on the Crane app. The level starts from 0 (Beginner) to 10 (E Choke!).
Converting a set amount of crypto to naira is the requirement to move to a new level. Subsequently, you’ll receive CNC for unlocking a new level. The CNC amount you receive depends on the level.
Additionally, you’ll enjoy the multiplier effect attached to the new level. This means subsequent CNC bonuses will be multiplied by the multiplier effect of your level. For example, if you’re on level 1 and convert $500 worth of crypto to naira, you’ll receive (5 x $500) CNC + 2,500 CNC for unlocking level 2. In total, you’ll receive 5,000 CNC for that transaction. The multiplier effect of each level on Crane varies.
